LOCAL AREA MAP

I have been indexing old copies of the 'Eden Magnet' for the Eden Killer Whale Museum. I recorded the local news from the settlements of Pericoe, Burragate and Towamba for my own interest. But, of course, we do these things without knowing what the eventual outcome will be. As the collection grew, I added what news I could from other sources eg., 'The Pambula Voice', to give an overall picture of life in the Towamba River Valley from the first settlement. However, there are items that date beyond 1935.

I have spent many happy, frustrating and freezing hours at my computer learning to create this site and at last here it is. I hope you enjoy reading about our area and what pictures I could find to brighten up the text, they are all there for your interest and enjoyment.
The site is regularly updated.

What else would I be doing, anyway?
